Survey shows business opportunities in downtown Grundy Center
GRUNDY CENTER - A survey conducted by the Grundy Center-Chamber Main Street has identified areas of opportunity for existing business owners, as well as opportunities for potential business owners looking to move their business to downtown Grundy Center.
GC Chamber-Main Street Director Lisa Bienfang says the survey - which quizzed participants on what types of businesses and services they would like to see in downtown Grundy Center - was filled out by over 400 people, and is part of the Chamber-Main Street’s “Ready to Recruit” initiative.
Results from the survey will be used as a way to strengthen the downtown business community, and assist both current and potential business owners in fulfilling the needs of the community.
“Grundy Center Chamber-Main Street has made business recruitment and retention a high priority to improve the local economy and quality of life,” Bienfang said. “One other goal of this survey is to identify what consumers want and what they will support. By going through the comprehensive ‘Ready 2 Recruit’ process, we will be equipped with information, resources, and best practices to assist new and existing businesses help Grundy Center grow and thrive.”
