Sylvia 'Sue' Hanna

Ms. Sylvia (Sue) (Venenga) Hanna, 92, formerly of Grundy Center, passed away on Sunday, 5 May 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Venenga of Grundy Center, second husband, Clovis Hanna of San Antonio, Texas and son, Dale Venenga (Stephanie) of Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Surviving sons include David Venenga (Judy) of Belen, New Mexico, Doug Venenga (Marsha) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Dana Venenga (Andrea) of Larkspur, Colorado. Sue was also the very proud grandma to Jeff Lovell, Mark Schuman, Derek Venenga, Michael Venenga, Brianna (Venenga) DeVries, and Serena (Venenga) Herkert. 

Sue treasured living with Dave and Judy for the last five years. She loved to keep busy with Bible study, reading, quilting projects, and being in touch with loved ones via phone conversations, cards, and letters. 

Because of her faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Sue is at long-last in the loving arms of Jesus, and in the blessed company of family and friends who preceded her into Heaven. 

Sue will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center at a later date. More information will be forthcoming.
