Under construction: Latta Harris receives BIG grant for store remodel

During their Monday night meeting, the Grundy Center City Council approved a $10,000 BIG Grant to Blain Moats for a storefront renovation project at Latta Harris.Blain Moats of Latta Harris in Grundy Center, says the storefront remodel has been a big need for some time now.
 
“The BIG grant will help replace the door and windows and the front display, and we’re also doing some re-structuring of the layout inside to create more office space,” he said. “We’re looking to expand our staffing and we need more office space for that.”
 
Moats says Latta Harris is in hiring mode, looking for new accountants; they will also have several college interns helping out at tax season, which is always a busy time.
