Wilbur Wayne Muller

Wilbur Wayne Muller, 84 of Grundy Center died Sunday, Feb. 7, at home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born July 26, 1935, son of Klaas K. and Annie (Eiklenborg) Muller. He graduated from Dike High School in 1953. He joined the United States Army in May 1958 and received an honorable discharge in May 1960.

On July 10, 1960 Wilbur was united in marriage to Joyce (Joy) Dorene Miller at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center, after their marriage they lived West of Dike where Wilbur farmed for several years. Then they moved to Grundy Center and he worked for Mid Equipment, then for Grundy County Secondary Road Department retiring in 1998.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, AMVET Post 17, and Emerald Lodge 334, in Grundy Center. He enjoyed 13 winters in Texas with Joy. Hi hobbies included camping, wood working, and fishing.

Wilbur is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joy; three children Michael (LuJean) Muller of Grundy Center, Linda (Richard) Muller-Kraush, of North Aurora, IL, and Jody (Chad) Delfs of Wellington, FL: four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Fred, Andrew and Merlyn; two sisters, Grace Stahl and Annie Betts.
