Wolverines advance to regional final

DIKE – The Dike-New Hartford girls knocked off another NICL-West team on their way to the Class 2A Region 2 final, besting South Hardin 59-33 in the semifinal game on Friday.
The Wolverines controlled the game from start to finish, opening with a 15-6 lead in the first quarter and holding a 27-15 halftime advantage. The second half saw them outscore the Tigers by seven more in each of the final two quarters to further spread the gap and take the win by a 26 point margin.    
The Wolverines dominated the boards, claiming 47 rebounds, while keeping a check on South Hardin’s perimeter shot as well as their inside game.
