Wolverines second in own invitational

DIKE — Dike-New Hartford rode six top-two finishes to second place in its own Lady Wolverine Invitational last Thursday in Dike.
D-NH finished with 99 points, eight behind first-place South Hardin. West Marshall (81), Nashua-Plainfield (51) and AGWSR (50) rounded out the top five in the 15-team meet. Grundy Center placed 14th in the meet with 32 points.
D-NH champions included Taylor Hedges in the 400-meter hurdles and its shuttle hurdle relay team. The Wolverines picked up second places in the high jump (Brooke Morgan), the 3,000 (Haylee Luna) and the 4 x 400 and 4 x 800 relays.
Grundy Center had a pair of top-three finishes in the meet, with Hannah Stumberg coming home second in the 400-meter dash and the Spartan 4 x 800 team taking third.
