MONONA —  Dike-New Hartford set up a showdown for the Class 1A, District 4 lead Friday with a 35-6 victory at MFL/MarMac.
The ninth-ranked Wolverines (5-1 overall, 3-0 in the district) host second-ranked South Winneshiek in a battle of District 4 leaders Friday. The winner of that game will have the inside track to the district title.
D-NH struck early and often Friday, scoring on the game’s first offensive play as Connor Neuroth took a fly sweep 73 yards to pay dirt. A pair of Trent Johnson touchdowns built the Wolverine lead to 20-0 by the end of the first quarter.
