Ziegler Ag Equipment to open Grundy Center location
GRUNDY CENTER – Ziegler Ag Equipment announced recently that it is expanding business in Iowa with a planned store in the Grundy County Industrial Park, with business set to begin in summer of 2022.
Ziegler purchased an existing warehouse building and adjacent property at the industrial park, which is located at the Highway 20/14 interchange north of Grundy Center.
“We join our partners at Grundy County REC and Corn Belt Power Cooperative, the developers of the park, in welcoming Ziegler to Grundy County,” said Jeff Kolb, Executive Director with the Butler-Grundy Development Alliance. “We have been working with corporate level folks from Ziegler for a while to make this new location a reality. This family-owned company is truly world-class in every aspect, and this new facility will be no exception.”
The store is meant to service agricultural and construction markets, and will have a full line of AGCO products – Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Challenger, Sunflower, RoGator, and TerraGator – as well as CLAAS, Brandt, Geringhoff, and Cat equipment.
The building will have a 20,250 square foot parts warehouse and dispatch field-service trucks to farmers and contractors in the surrounding area. Customers will also have access to the full offering of Ziegler services, including a parts inventory, an overnight shuttle system connecting every Ziegler store, parts-drop locations, access to the company’s large-component rebuild centers, and the dealership’s full range of expertise.
“We’re excited to expand our business around Grundy Center,” said William M. Hoeft, President of Ziegler Ag Equipment. “With this new facility, we can offer our local customers faster and better service. We look forward to becoming part of the community and growing our futures together.”
Ziegler is a family-owned company for three generations, and has 31 locations employing over 2,300 people.
“For me personally, I am very happy that we will see new activity in the Grundy County Industrial Park,” Kolb said. ”Our organization has been working hard to increase the marketing and marketability of the industrial park to attract new jobs and investment, as this park is in a prime location. I am confident in saying this announcement will be just the start of a long and growing presence for this company here in Grundy County, and they have been a pleasure to work with.”
