Cougars move to 6-0 with win over Southeast Webster

ACKLEY — AGWSR celebrated Homecoming Friday with its sixth straight victory, 41-6 over Southeast Webster, Grand.
The Cougars (6-0 overall, 3-0 in Class A, District 2) jumped ahead 21-0 after one quarter and were ahead 35-0 at halftime. Southeast Webster drops to 1-4 overall, 1-3 in the district.
Again it was a dominant rushing attack and stingy defense that paced the Cougars. Freshman Mason Eilderts led their 375-yard attack with 115 yards on 23 carries while Clay Meinders ran for 108 yards and four touchdowns on 14 totes. The Cougars did not attempt a pass in the game, did not punt and turned the ball over only once. Southeast Webster finished with just 144 yards of total offense, including just 84 yards on the ground.
