GC holiday tree, light events team up Nov. 23

    GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy Center Chamber of Commerce’s Village of Lights and Festival of Trees Committees have teamed up to create a single larger event Nov. 22-24.
    The Festival of Trees and Village of Lights Festival will be held Nov. 22 through Nov. 24. The Festival of Trees will begin its 25th annual festival with the theme “A Simply Rustic Christmas” Friday, Nov. 22 with its annual dinner. Advance reservations are required for the “Jackets and Jeans with a little Bling” event, which begins at 6 p.m. with wine and beer tasting. Dine among the Christmas trees as you listen to Sandie Stumberg play the keyboard. The evening’s barbecue meal will be catered by Smokin G’s.
