Long-time Public Health manager, Haren, to retire

GRUNDY CENTER — For more than 28 years a familiar name has been the face of Grundy County Public Health. Early next year, Nancy Haren will say her final goodbyes to Public Health, leaving behind her years of memories.
    “I’m feeling really good about leaving the organization in Wendy (Monaghahn) and the rest of the staff’s hands,” Haren said. “I think they’ll do very well.
    “I think Public Heath needs some new blood, new thoughts, thinking out of the box, new ideas …,” she said. “I think it’s an exciting time for Public Health. With accountable care and everything there’s a lot of opportunity for Public Health to be part of that mix.”
