Dike-New Hartford fell behind 18-6 in the first quarter before coming back in the second period to make it a one point ball game, 27-26 West Marshall at the half.
A big quarter on both ends of the court saw the Wolverines outscore the Trojans 17-4 in the third, and another five point advantage in the final period gave Dike-New Hartford the win by a 17 point margin.
“This game was a good test for our girls as we got down by as many as 14 points in the first half,” Dike-New Hartford head coach Bruce Dall said. “The defense lacked some intensity.”
“It was good for us to be tested,” he said. “I thought, to our credit, we fought back hard. A sign of a good team.”
