G-R boys finish on high note

REINBECK — The Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys’ basketball team wrapped up its sterling regular season last week with a pair of non-district victories.
The Rebels (19-2) downed Aplington-Parkersburg 63-53 last Tuesday and won their regular-season finale over Wapsie Valley 71-55 Thursday.
The Rebels host the winner of Monday’s BCLUW-CAL game Thursday at 8 p.m. The game is the second of a district doubleheader, with North Tama and GMG meeting in the opener.

Aplington-Parkersburg 53
Zach Pierce scored 15 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out four assists as the Rebels downed Aplington-Parkersburg.
