First-ever: All-Stater Dumler is third-team INA All-State pick

    DIKE — The Dike-New Hartford High School girls’ basketball team has had a lot of firsts in its 2013-14 season. Add one more to a list that includes its first top-10 ranking, first 20-win season and first conference championship as senior Ashley Dumler becomes the team’s first five-on-five basketball all-stater after helping the Wolverines achieve their multitude of team goals.
    Dumler was selected to the Iowa Newspaper Association’s Class 2A All-State third team by a committee of sports writers from around the state. The 5-foot-11 senior averaged a team-high 12.6 points per game this year as well as 5.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game.
