Jungling steps down after 33 years as EMT
GRUNDY CENTER — One of Grundy Center’s longest-serving emergency medical technicians is stepping down. Monday night the Grundy Center City Council cited 33-year veteran Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Mark Jungling for his years of service.
Jungling followed his parents, Del and Dee, into emergency medicine. His father co-owned Grundy Center’s ambulance, which was then housed at Roger Moody’s service station.
“I thought (what they did) was neat,” he said of his parents’ work with the ambulance. “It was just something I wanted to do.”
