Grundy Center wins third straight Battle of the Books title

CEDAR FALLS — For the third year in a row, the Grundy Center Elementary Battle of the Books team worked together to bring home first place medals.
Competing members of this year’s team included Elliott Hamann, Ella Hommel, Jasmine Kanagy, Jacque Kuester, Brooke Liston and Skielyr Nehr.
This year there was a record-breaking number of teams, with 36 entering the competition. Grundy Center placed first on the written test with a score of 59 out of 66.
