Lippert medals as IF-A/AGWSR competes in BCLUW Invite

UNION — Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR senior Jessica Lippert was the lone local runner to medal Saturday, leading the Cadets at the BCLUW Comet Invitational at the South Hardin Recreation Area in Union.
    Lippert placed fifth on the night, just 16 seconds short of a top-three finish. Her effort was not enough to pull the Cadets to a strong team finish, however, as they placed seventh in the eight-team field.
    “We are trying to overcome the middle of the season plateau and battling some sickness,” Cadet coach Jamie Maxwell said. “ We hope to stay healthy and continue to improve as we enter the final weeks of the regular season.”
