Spartans show promise despite loss at A-P
PARKERSBURG – Although Grundy Center didn’t manage to bring home the win against Aplington-Parkersburg last Friday night, their performance on the road showed strength and improvement to build upon as they move forward.
Despite a 43-23 loss to the Falcons, Grundy Center accumulated 378 yards of total offense, 237 on the ground and 141 in the air. Bryce Flater went 168 yards in 24 carries good for one touchdown, and caught three passes for another 31 yards. Spartan quarterback Brock Rohler connected on 8-of-21 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Stoner caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown, and Austin Burroughs pulled in two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.
