AGWSR downs West Fork 56-13

ACKLEY – The AGWSR football team closed out a strong regular season with a decisive 56-13 win over West Fork Friday night, bringing their 2014 record to 8-1 overall, 5-1 in District A-4 for a second place finish in the district. The Cougars were slated to host a first round Class A playoff game with Bishop Garrigan, Algona (6-3 overall, 4-2 District A-3) on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7:00 p.m.  
Using a typical Cougar game plan, AGWSR focused on their strong running game to put together four touchdown runs in the first quarter and three more in the second to take a 49-7 halftime lead.
