Veterans recognized at annual GCHS ceremony

    GRUNDY CENTER — Grundy Center veterans received special recognition Tuesday as the Grundy Center National Honor Society hosted the school’s annual Veteran’s Day ceremony.
    Speakers for the day included Marine reservists Connor Hamilton and Jacob Harberts and Army reservist Garrett Nibbelink.
    Hamilton spoke of the men and women who had served before them and how they set the bar high for those who followed them.
    “It’s because of these gentlemen and these women that you guys are able to do what you can do - that you guys are able to put your best foot forward,” he said. “You guys are able to give that sacrifice when it calls for.”
