Newly crowned No. 1 Rebels crush South Hardin, Hudson
REINBECK — Gladbrook-Reinbeck scored a pair of key North Iowa Cedar League West Division victories last week while grabbing a historic school honor.
The Rebels (11-0 overall, 9-0 in the West) downed South Hardin and Hudson Tuesday and Friday to build a two-game lead in the division and Monday moved up to No. 1 in the Class 1A Associated Press boys’ basketball poll. Previous No. 1 LeMars Gehlen Catholic dropped to third despite remaining undefeated while Danville, while was tied with G-R at No. 2 in the state last week, was ranked second this week. The poll is conducted of sports writers at Associated Press newspapers in Iowa.
