Wolverines advance to district final with win over Hudson
PARKERSBURG – Dike-New Hartford controlled their second round district game with Hudson from the start last Thursday night, taking an 11-7 first quarter lead, then turning things up defensively in the second period, going on a 14-0 run while holding Hudson scoreless for almost seven minutes.
“I thought we came out ready,” Dike-New Hartford head coach Greg Moore said. “Our scoring was very spread out. We were able to control the boards and limited Hudson to just three guys scoring in the first half.”
The Wolverines managed to build on their 25-12 halftime lead each of the remaining quarters, due in large part to continued solid defensive play throughout the game.
