Lights, camera, action coming to Grundy Center

    GRUNDY CENTER — Did you ever dream of being a movie star? If so, your chance could be just a few short weeks away, as Grundy Center will be the setting for the filming of a motion picture this spring.
    My Town Pictures will be coming to Grundy Center in April to film a yet to be named movie based on a yet to be written script.
    Chamber of Commerce Director Jodi Latwesen said My Town Pictures creative director and screenwriter Scott Thompson contacted her about making one of his starter-level films in the community. She said Thompson had been through town before and thought Grundy Center would be a good location for a film.
