Roger Allen Heikens

Roger passed away peacefully June 30, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, after a 14 year battle with cancer. A private service will be held. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home 686 Jeff Davis Dr. Spartanburg, S.C.29303 or to ones choice.
He was born on February 22, 1949,  in Eldora, to the late Evert and Lorraine Tack Heikens. Roger was retired from Heikens Enterprises Inc. He was of the Baptist faith. Roger was a very giving man and always had words of encouragement and willing to help  everyone. He was an entrepreneur. A member of the Moose Lodge, former fireman, and a friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Robin Johnson Heikens; son Steven (Betsy) Heikens of Davenport; three daughters: Kerri Heikens of Polk City, Christy Schuman of Aurora, Colorado, Cathy (Justin) Helmers of Clarksville; two step-daughters: Amanda Street of Spartanburg, SC, Ashley Fadia and husband Ankur of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren: Markie Putney of Des Moines, Aleah Schuman of Aurora, Colorado, Charlie Mummelthie, Briggs Helmers and Georgi Helmers of Clarksville, Jake Schuman of Reinbeck, Jaden Street and Alana Dixon of Spartanburg, SC, and Brookelyn Fadia of Roanoke, VA.; sister, Twyla Megaw of Scottsdale, Arizona; brother, Rodney (Nancy) Heikens of Temple, TX; father and mother-in-law, Olin and Marie Johnson.
Roger was predeceased by his step-son, Alan M. Street.
