Spartan boys open season with win over Don Bosco

GRUNDY CENTER – Grundy Center got off to a strong start in their first time on the court this season against Don Bosco Thursday. The Spartans had a huge 28-point first quarter, and held a 23 point lead at the half. They continued to control the game in the second half, and ended with a 73-38 win over the Dons.
  “(I am) very pleased with our overall team effort against Don Bosco,” Grundy Center head coach Rollie Ackerman said. “We shared the basketball very well, having 22 assists on the night, and dominated on the boards. We got off to a very good start both offensively and defensively in the first quarter and set the tone for the night.”
