Supervisors OK additional funds for Dike complex
GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy County Board of Supervisors approved additional funding support for Dike’s Kruger-Hemmen Sports Complex, though not without some difficult discussions.
The Board approved a $500 increase in the pledge, to a total of $3,000, which would be paid out only if the group is approved for Vision Iowa funding.
Justin Stockdale, chairman of the Fields to Fields committee that has been raising funds for the sports complex, told the Board last week that the Vision Iowa Board had sent them back to the county and other sources for more matching support.
