Center Theatre to hold membership drive

The Center Theatre in Grundy Center will be conducting the 2016 Annual Membership Drive on Monday, March 21.
When looking for quality entertainment in Grundy County, the Center Theatre has long been a favorite choice for all ages. Established in 1986 as a non-profit organization and governed by a volunteer board of directors, the Center Theatre has become a valued and significant component of the good life we find in small-town living.
As a non-profit community theatre, the Center Theatre extends the opportunity to individuals to become a shareholder of the theatre by purchasing an annual membership which entitles the cardholder to free admission to the movie every week. Individuals can choose a One-Night membership (valid Monday evenings for regular movies) for $25, a Two-Night membership (valid Monday and Tuesday evenings for regular movies) for $35, or the Ultimate membership (valid Monday and Tuesday evenings for regular and 3D movies) for $60 and donations are always appreciated as well. In return, the Center Theatre will use all funds to make necessary improvements to the theatre and to ensure it remains a first-rate facility with current projection and sound presentation.
Since reopening as a non-profit community theatre in 1986, the theatre facility has been completely remodeled and modernized for comfort and accessibility by all patrons, including a second auditorium addition with new restrooms enlarged lobby and concession area, insulation and exterior structural enhancements, new steel roof, restored neon marquee, new screens, upgraded seating, new digital projectors and sound processors/surround sound speakers and LED aisle lighting and carpeting. Funds from the 2016 membership drive will be used to continue the services the theatre provides as one of the few year-round entertainment establishments in Grundy County.
When not being utilized for movie presentations, the theatre strives to serve the county by opening its facility for use by various community organizations, schools, businesses and religious institutions. A Center Theatre membership means substantial admission savings to the cardholder and affords patrons the chance to be involved in the betterment and continuance of the theatre, securing it as an asset in this area for the future.
If you wish to receive your annually renewable 2016 membership card and are not contacted on March 21, please mail payment to the Center Theatre for each individual membership desired, including the individual’s name, address and telephone number for each membership. Memberships can be renewed prior to the Membership Drive.
