GC/G-R boys upset Regina during perfect first week

The newly combined Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck soccer team got its season off to a roaring start last week with three straight victories, including an upset of second-ranked Iowa City Regina in Reinbeck on Friday night.
           
The 14th ranked Rebels got the week started with a tough 1-0 win over Columbus Catholic in Waterloo. Senior Colton Dinsdale scored the lone goal on an assist from Caden Kickbush, and junior Eric Knaack attempted a game-high three shots on goal. Goalie Josh Cooley spent all 80 minutes in front of the net and recorded two saves in the contest. Statistics for Columbus (0-1) were not available at press time.
