AGWSR boys win NICL triangular
WATERLOO – Daniel Stahl’s low card of 37 led AGWSR boys golf to a win over Waterloo Columbus and Sumner-Fredericksburg at Gates Park in Waterloo on Tuesday.
The Cougars shot a 170, seven strokes better than Columbus. Sumner-Fredericksburg compiled a 219 score.
Rounding out the AGWSR scorers were Eli Brandt with a 42, Bo Gerbracht shooting a 44 and Gabe Nederhoff finishing at 47. Easton Kerns and Cade Rose added a 55 and 60, respectively.
AGWSR GIRLS FINISH THIRD: On the girls side at South Hills Golf Course, the Cougars finished third with a 247. Sumner-Fredericksburg won the triangular with a 189 and Waterloo Columbus shot a 224. Columbus’ Molly Fereday was the medalist with a 40 and Chloe Botte of Sumner-Fredericksburg was the runner-up with a 44.
Taryn Day led AGWSR with a 57, Avery Lafrenz was close behind at 58 and Brianna Kruger carded a 61. Gabby Kruger was the final AGWSR scorer with a 71; Kylie Sillman and Jaelyn Graham added rounds of 72 and 74, respectively.
