Smith’s barrage buries Mustangs

LE GRAND – Brynn Smith racked up 24 kills in a three-set sweep for AGWSR at East Marshall on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

AGWSR won 25-20, 25-14, 25-10 in its NICL West opener.

As of Friday afternoon, the senior’s offensive burst was the highest kill count in a three-set match this season, and the 10th-highest among hitters in the state. She accomplished the total in 49 attacks for a .367 hitting efficiency.

She added two aces on 13-of-14 serving. Trevyn Smith had 28 assists. Defensively, Tessa Sperfslage brought up 10 digs and Lila Vaughn had four blocks.
