BCLUW Class of 2017 celebrates new chapter at commencement

Forty-seven BCLUW seniors received their high school diplomas on Sunday afternoon in the gymnasium, signaling the end of one chapter in their lives and the beginning of a new one.
           
“We will always be the class of 2017, and the moments that we shared together throughout the years will always keep us together,” speaker Claire Stufflebeam said. “The last four years may have felt like the longest of your life, but from this point on, time is going to fly.”
           
Stufflebeam, Anna Dinsmore and Jenna Willett spoke to the class and the audience about matters both lighthearted and profound, and emotions were on full display as each senior presented a rose to his or her parents and watched a slideshow comparing their adolescent photos to senior pictures. Fond memories included academics, athletics, classes and homecoming, among others, and the seniors will now head in different directions, with some attending college, some working and some joining the military.
