Boys basketball roundup: Gladbrook-Reinbeck throttles Redhawks

TRAER – Even with two usual starters out of the lineup, Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys basketball handled North Tama, 73-42, at North Tama High School on Saturday, Feb. 1.

William Kiburis was one of three Rebels in double-digit scoring with a team-leading 19 points, adding seven rebounds and nine assists. Dylan Riffey added 17 points and Tristen Sanford-Anders scored 14 points with 13 rebounds and seven blocked shots.

The Rebels dominated in the paint with 41 rebounds, including 13 on the offensive end, and finished the game shooting 28-of-49 from the floor.

Tyler Tscherter and Cullen Eiffler were both out of the lineup on Saturday. Both missed Friday's game against BCLUW as well, and Tscherter has been out of the lineup since Tuesday's game against South Hardin.

G-R (13-4) led 37-26 at haltime and stretched the lead to 56-30 after three quarters.
