REINBECK – The Reinbeck Art Festival celebrated its sixth year on Saturday, with a crowd of around 300 people coming out to join in on the festivities.
Over 25 artists from around the area participated in the festival, displaying and selling everything from ceramics, to paintings to jewelry and more.
Marion Boyer, a founding member of the Reinbeck Art Festival, said this year’s festival was a definite success.
“It was a wonderful day. We had a car show for the first time, and we had a lot more cars than expected – almost double what we were hoping for,” Boyer said. “We also had the Glampers back, and the brewery had their Becktoberfest celebration, plus the Methodist Church had a concert in the park afterwards, so there was a lot to do that day. We had a lot of comments from people about how well everything was organized.”
Boyer added that she and the Art Festival Committee would thank to thank everyone involved for making this event a success.
“We couldn’t do it without all our sponsors, who donate money to make this possible, and the City of Reinbeck for allowing us to hold the festival in the downtown area,” she said. “We also want to thank all our numerous volunteers; they are so willing to help and they come back each year. We couldn’t do it without them. And also we want to thank everyone who came out to support these local artists, and of course, the artists themselves.”
