REINBECK – The annual Reinbeck Fourth of July celebration is right around the corner, and community members from around the county are invited to join in on this year’s festivities.
The event, which is organized annually by the Citizens for Reinbeck committee, will be held on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 this year.

This year, there are several new events and activities along with the tried and true favorites.
The festivities will kick off on Wednesday evening, with a Community Appreciation Dinner at the Reinbeck Memorial Building from 5 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a free movie at Elmwood Park starting at 8:45 p.m. To end the night, there will be a Fireman’s Dance and live music at the Memorial Building from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

On Thursday, there will be a pickle ball tournament at the tennis courts at Elmwood Park along with a fishing derby at the Izaak Walton Pond - both from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 10 a.m. is the crowning of Little Mr. and Miss Reinbeck (on College Street in front of Elmwood Park), followed by a 7 on 7 football tournament by the GR Booster Club. Anyone is invited to show up and play in the tournament.
