County receives funding for annex building

Grundy County will receive $304,000 in funding from County Social Services to be put toward the new annex building project according to information received at the board of supervisors meeting on Monday morning.
           
Supervisor Jim Ross and Regional Disability Services Coordinator Todd Rickert recently attended a meeting of CSS, which consists of 22 counties in north central and northeast Iowa, and gave a presentation on why Grundy County was deserving of funding for the project. Rickert thanked Ross for doing an excellent job on the presentation, and both were excited about the news. The amount is proportional to the space that the mental health and social services departments will occupy in the new building.
