Dike-New Hartford has hired Kat Bering and Colleen Ridings as co-head coaches to lead the inaugural season of the girls soccer program, set to begin in March 2020.

Kat Bering is a former head coach for the University of Northern Iowa's women's soccer team, while Ridings is the current men's soccer coach at Hawkeye Community College and is an assistant on the RedTails' women's team.

"We are excited to welcome Kat and Colleen as our co-coaches," D-NH Activities Director Cody Eichmeier said. "They both bring a considerable amount of experience coaching and playing soccer, and they both have the skill and teaching ability to get the team off to a great start."

In recent seasons, Hudson and D-NH shared a girls soccer program with games played in Hudson.

"We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Hudson over the years," said Justin Stockdale, Dike-New Hartford superintendent. "Considering the number of student-athletes currently participating, as well as those indicating they would play in the future, we decided that the time had come for D-NH to offer its own program."

Dike-New Hartford girls soccer's home games will be played in New Hartford. The regular season begins April 6.
