D-NH's Kiewiet wins at Wartburg

WAVERLY – Dike-New Hartford's Parker Kiewiet claimed first place in the boys long jump at an indoor track meet at Wartburg College on Tuesday, March 12.
 
Kiewiet brought home gold for the D-NH boys with a best mark of 22-feet even in the long jump. Dunkerton's Brady Stone took runner-up at 21-8.5.
 
On the girls’ side, D-NH freshman Taylor Kvale placed 14th in the 1,500-meter run in 5:34.38 as the Wolverine girls' top individual placewinner. In the field events, Rylee Wessely placed 25th in the shot put with a top throw of 29 feet, 6 inches.
