D-NH's Reece Beuter named NICL East MVP

Dike-New Hartford junior Reece Beuter earned Most Valuable Player honors in the All-NICL East Baseball Teams released last Saturday night.
  
Beuter was one of four D-NH players on the first team, along with Drew Sonnenberg, Parker Kiewiet and Zak Wauters. Wolverine senior Tim Koop was a second-team selection and senior Ely Sohn earned honorable mention.
  
Beuter was 4-0 against NICL East opponents on the mound, allowing one earned run and 11 hits in 33 innings pitched. He struck out 50 batters with nine walks. At the plate, he hit .444 with four doubles and 15 RBI.
  
Dike-New Hartford finished as league champions for the fourth-consecutive season and the fifth time in the last six seasons, recording 12 wins to four losses and placing two games ahead of runner-up Waterloo Columbus.
