The Grundy Center Police Department issued a public statement last week, seeking information on the whereabouts of a man who is suspected in a recent burglary.

According to the GCPD, a warrant has been issued for 37-year-old Joshua Ray Sterns of Grundy Center, who is being sought in connection with a burglary in the area.

Stearns is described as 5-feet, 3-inches tall and 140 pounds. He is a white male with red hair and hazel eyes.
GCPD Officer Alissa Loew says the department is continuing their search for Stearns into this week, and that anyone with information on Stearns' whereabouts should call the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office at (319) 824-6933.

In addition, Loew added that locals should call to report any suspicious persons or activities, and should take the usual precautions by locking the doors and windows of homes and vehicles to prevent theft.
