Grundy Center a host location for Live Healthy Iowa run/walk

AMES — Live Healthy Iowa has selected Grundy Center as a host site for the inaugural year of Live Healthy Iowa’s 5K run/walk and 1K kid’s run.
Grundy Center was chosen as one of ten communities throughout the state to host the event on Saturday, April 12, 2014. The run/walk serves as a finale celebration for the nearly 28,000 Iowans participating in the 2014 10 Week Wellness Challenge. All Iowans are welcome to participate in this family-friendly event and enjoy the refreshing spring weather!
On-site registration for the event begins at 7 a.m. at the Grundy Center High School track. Packets for pre-registered runners can be picked up from 7 to 7:45 a.m., with the 5K run starting at 8 a.m. in front of the high school. The race finish will be at Spartan Stadium, and the kids’ 1K walk/run will begin at approximately 9 a.m.
