Grundy County Community Foundation awards over $100,000 in grants

The Grundy County Community Foundation awarded 32 grants totaling $121,417 to local nonprofits and government entities for community projects at its annual awards ceremony last week.
 
“All of you are here because you’re helping to strengthen the community and make Grundy County a better place to live, work and play,” said Elizabeth Hackbarth, Director of Development for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. “The Grundy County Community Foundation is proud to be a partner in that work, and we are thankful for the generosity of community-minded people who make this impact possible. I want to thank our committee members; they’re volunteers who work hard to determine the needs and amounts that each of these awesome projects get. I also want to thank each representative here tonight for being a driving force in the community and working to make Grundy County a great place.”
