GRUNDY CENTER - This year’s Grundy County Fair Queen is Westin Hansen of Holland, who was crowned during a ceremony at the grandstands last Tuesday night, as the fair kicked into full swing.
Westin is the daughter of Sara Hansen. She attends Aplington-Parkersburg High School where she is involved in Volleyball, FFA, Aplington-Parkersburg Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Book Club and Prom Steering. She is also a Teachers Intern.
She enjoys spending time with family, having fun with friends, hiking, crafting and working. Her future plans include enjoying her senior year at A-P and taking everything in. She will be playing volleyball, going to the football and basketball games, and spending time with her friends. She will continue working at Todd’s Neighborhood Grill on Saturday mornings as well as hopefully become a Resident Assistant or CNA once volleyball season has passed.
Hansen will represent Grundy County at the Iowa State Fair Queen Pageant in Des Moines next month.
Grundy County Fair Princess was Lizabeth Torres and Fair Prince was Avery Schipper.
