Jim Hillygus of Conrad was recognized with an Outstanding Volunteer Award at a recent Main Street Iowa ceremony in Des Moines and honored by Governor Kim Reynolds.

Hillygus has been on the Conrad Chamber-Main Street board for the last six years and served as president for the last three, and he’s been noted for his sunny demeanor and optimism on a day-to-day basis.

He has been in charge of many different projects while on the board. Hillygus had to step down from the board this year as his term is fulfilled, but he is still supporting CCMS by volunteering when he can.
