Jacqueline “Jackie” Derrick, 40, of Dike passed away February 25, 2014, at her home in Dike while under the care of Unity Point Hospice, following a lengthy illness. Her family celebrated her life with a memorial visitation on March 2 at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home,Grundy Center. A private service for Jackie was held immediately following the visitation. Inurnment was private. Memorials may be made in her name to the Cedar Bend Humane Society, 1166 W. Airline Highway, Waterloo, IA 50703. Online condolences can be left at www.abelsfuneralhomes.com.
