Lebo completes journey from Grundy Center Secondary hallways to principal’s office

GRUNDY CENTER — A little more than 24 years ago, Ann Lebo saw the world at her fingertips. As she walked across the stage to receive her diploma as a Grundy Center High School graduate, little did she know that the world would lead right back to that very place ... as principal in the building where she grew up.
“I definitely didn’t think I would be here,” Lebo, the new Grundy Center Secondary Principal said. “But when I think about what I want to say to students this fall, that’s exactly what I want to talk about. They can’t say I don’t know what it’s like to be in their shoes.”
Lebo grew up at Grundy Center High School. The daughter of Paul and Joan Rouse, who taught Title I reading at the school, and niece of former high school principal Harry Dole, she said she spent a lot of time at the school.
