GRUNDY CENTER – Recently, the Main Street Grundy Center Board of Directors announced the selection of new MSGC executive director – Bobbi Finarty – who takes over the position from previous director Kristin Cleveland.
Finarty, a Grundy Center resident, has served for a number of years as a business development specialist and sales manager for a regional agricultural cooperative, where she provided marketing and communications, training and sales support.
Finarty said one of the driving factors behind her career change was that she would have the opportunity to act as a resource for economic growth and development right here in Grundy Center.
“What I enjoy the most is watching businesses grow and thrive; economic development is part of that, and that was really a driving factor for me,” she said. “I want to be a resource to our district’s residents and businesses; to help them facilitate growth and improvement, and to take advantage of the opportunities that are here for them.”
