NICL West All-Conference: Lindeman, Fryslie earn first-team honors

A pair of local girls’ basketball players have been honored among the North Iowa Cedar League West Division’s best. Grundy Center’s Katie Lindeman and AGWSR’s Madi Fryslie were among seven first-team players selected by coaches.
Lindeman was one of just two unanimous selections to the team, joining South Hardin’s Kayla Prosser, who was named the league’s Player of the Year. A sophmore guard, Lindeman averaged 13.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in league games for a Spartan team that finished in a third-place tie in the league standings. She also had 25 steals and shot 74 percent from the free-throw line.
Fryslie led a balanced-scoring AGWSR squad with 12.1 points per game in league play along with 27 3-pointers, 33 assists and 28 steals.
