GRUNDY CENTER – This year’s Summer Reading Program at the Kling Memorial Library will truly be out of this world.
This year’s program, “A Universe of Stories,” will blast off on Saturday, June 8, with a Jedi Training Camp from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The whole family is invited to enjoy lunch, games and a Jedi warrior obstacle course challenge.
Library Assistant Lenah Oltman says the library staff have been hard at work making this year’s program even better than ever, with a number of fun events for families and community members of all ages.
“We’re so excited about this year’s program,” she said. “We’ve got so many fun events planned, and some really great prizes, so we’re hoping to get lots of people get on board.”
She added that the Summer Reading Program is a great way to bring people in the community together, while providing them with fun entertainment during the summer months.
Throughout this week, from June 3 through 7, the library is hosting a Space Pirate Attack Escape Room. The interactive puzzle will lead the team through a series of clues, which they must solve in under 60 minutes to “escape” from the damaged space craft before being sucked into the vacuum of space.
