Peoples Savings Bank donates to Timothy Christian School

WELLSBURG – Recently, Peoples Savings Bank in Wellsburg donated $700 to Timothy Christian School to help spread the word about TC, and create some buzz about the upcoming auction.
TC Development Director Dale Akkerman says one thing he thinks the school needs to work harder at is getting information out, and letting people know about the school, and all of its draws.
“[Getting the word out] is very important to the school, we need to let the community we serve, within a radius of 25 miles from Wellsburg, know that we are here and who we are,” Akkerman said. “We want everyone to know that there is a Christian school option to them in this area.”
Thanks to the donation from Peoples Savings Bank, the school will now be featured in the Grundy, Butler and Hardin County Visitors Guides, which Akkerman says will help the school reach out to different outlets, and help spread the word about the school.
“We appreciate Peoples Savings Bank coming alongside Timothy Christian School to sponsor or ad in the 2018 Visitors Guide for Grundy, Butler and Hardin County,” Akkerman said. “It’s fun to work with our local bank on positive ventures that benefit the entire community.”
Currently, 38 students from six different school districts around the area attend the school, which is the only school in the county to be fully accredited by Christian Schools International and The State of Iowa.
