Softball postseason pairings released

   The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have released the postseason pairings for softball teams in Classes 1A, 2A and 3A. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m. starts unless otherwise noted.
   In Class 1A Region 6, fifth-ranked AGWSR received a bye to the regional quarterfinals, where they will host the winner of either Hudson or Gladbrook-Reinbeck in Ackley on Wednesday, July 5. The regional final will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Monday, July 10. Belle Plaine, ranked No. 14, is the other ranked team in Region 6 and could be a potential regional final.
   In Class 2A Region 3, Grundy Center and Dike-New Hartford will face off in Grundy Center on Monday, July 3, and the winner will play No. 5 CMB in Collins on July 5. On the other side of the Region 3 bracket, 2A No. 15 BCLUW awaits the winner of Saint Ansgar or Aplington-Parkersburg for a regional quarterfinal in Conrad on July 5. The regional final is Monday, July 10.
   The softball state tournament runs from Monday, July 17 to Friday, July 21 at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge.
